the adventure of prince kenneth...: chinese new year trips!

chinese new year 2009 is more than over but somehow... my mind is still wondering somewhere far away and not willing to believe that chinese new year is over! apart of not having all my favourite cookies and junk foods this year, my first english chinese new year can still be considered as a fun one (somehow, i still prefer malaysian style kinda chinese new year.... those eat eat drink drink one)!

during the recent chinese new year, i explore a few places with my mates! my first trip was liverpool. one word to describe it... boring! nothing much to do and see over there. during my stay over there (2 days), i spent more than half of my times in shopping malls and boutiques. i do love going to malls but when i reach a new place, i prefer exploring the culture and heritage side of that place and shopping will normally be the last thing i would do. places of interest in liverpool are quite limited. just imagine, im not a football fan but i got too much time to spend and i ended up at liverpool fc. anyway, shopping in liverpool is fun.... many great brands!

5 days after i came back liverpool, i went to leeds with a few friends and spent two days over there. leeds is a more interesting place than liverpool. the city is beautiful and more things to see and explore! on top of that, it has good foods and shopping to offer! we drove to leeds.... my first time driving on english soil! on the way to leeds, we stopped at fountains abbey and studley royal! love this place.... a very elegant park.

less than 72 hours after i reached newcastle, i was in london and having dinner at chinatown. london is such a nice place to be... a heaven for shopaholics like myself! this trip was about friendship! i was there to meet some old friends as some of them are leaving uk for good soon. this trip, i explored outside london... visited canterbury and cambridge. totally in love with cambridge! a very charming town!
